It’s really quite amazing how good it makes you feel to give. I’m guest posting today over at Tylia Gardner’s blog, The Bloody Munchkin, and the giving theme is inspired by the work she’s been doing to raise awareness about George Mark Children’s House. Located in the San Francisco Bay area, it specializes in pediatric palliative care, and it’s a place with a close connection for Tylia. I invite you to hop on over, have a read, and hopefully be inspired to take action. There are a hundred grillion ways to give, and two hundred grillion worthy recipients, so go ahead and fill yer boots. And why not take this opportunity to leave a comment with a shout-out to your favorite non-profit organization? Give them the props they deserve. Thanks, gang!

It is indeed a worthy cause, Laura. When it comes to helping children, all we can do is never quite enough. And, when we really think about it, we can always do more. Thank you for making us aware of a wonderful opportunity.

Grillion?! I LOVE THAT
My current favourite orgs are:
The One Acre Fund (I blogged about that recently)
Playing for Change and
Right to Play
I used to work in small museums, so I know the importance of support and donations. I give when I can, and agree …its rewarding in a “grillion” ways.

Those all look like amazing organizations. Thanks for sharing them, Sarah. And credit for ‘grillion’ goes to my husband. He brought that into my daily lexicon!

Wonderful idea! Non-profit staff and volunteers work very, very hard providing services and fundraising. It is such an unexpected gift to get a supportive email, tweet or shoutout! Looking forward to reading your guest post on the other site. You never fail to inspire me, Laura! :)))

And you, I. Is that correct English? D’oh. And I’m happy to give the shout-out. I’ve worked on both sides, non-profit and corporate, and I can definitely attest that the former requires more stamina.
